PSHE and RSE
Welcome to our PSHE and RSE page on the website. Mrs Wells is the subject leader for both PSHE and RSE.
Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE)
At St Theresa’s, our PSHE curriculum is designed to support the development of the whole child, enabling pupils to grow into confident, respectful and responsible individuals. We aim to equip children with the knowledge, skills and understanding they need to keep themselves safe, build positive relationships and make informed choices about their wellbeing.
Through a carefully planned and age-appropriate programme, pupils explore themes such as health and wellbeing, relationships, and living in the wider world. Our PSHE curriculum reflects our school values and supports children’s spiritual, moral, social and cultural development, preparing them to be thoughtful citizens who can contribute positively to their communities and confidently navigate life beyond primary school.
Relationship and Sex Education (RSE)
At St Theresa’s, our Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) curriculum is rooted in our Catholic values and aims to support children in developing a secure understanding of relationships, respect and personal dignity. We provide a safe and nurturing environment where pupils can learn about their bodies, emotions and the importance of healthy, positive relationships.
By implementing the Ten:Ten age-appropriate scheme of learning, children are taught to recognise and manage their feelings, understand boundaries, and develop respect for themselves and others. Our RSE curriculum works in partnership with families to ensure that pupils are equipped with the knowledge and confidence to make responsible choices, stay safe and grow into caring, respectful members of society.
The RSE Policy is waiting governor approval.

This year our Anti-Bullying Week campaign focused on ‘One Kind Word’. In school we fully participated and engrossed ourselves in learning more about the importance of being kind to one another.
On Monday the children all arrived at school in Odd Socks, following this some of the children presented engaging assemblies teaching the important aspects of this week.
During this week we have had a whole school poster competition. There have been some incredible entries, made with lots of detail and love. Please enjoy our fantastic winning posters from various year groups.
Remember…. If you are going to do anything, say ONE KIND WORD!
