School Student Council
Welcome to the School Student Council page!
We are very proud of the heritage of our school Student Council as it has been in place for many now. The members are elected by their peers following hustings in the Autumn Term each year.
Within the year, the children have discussed the rule of law (and how this links to our British values). They explored how government is established and how parliament is used to establish a voice on a larger scale. Of course, this enabled the council to understand how they can use their own platform in order to make a difference within our school community.
The council has undertaken a great deal of work including reviewing the school’s anti-bullying and online safety policies and creating a child-friendly leaflets for their peers; they have also been involved in discussing ways to ease congestion in the school car park and also reviewing the school’s sanctions and rewards policy.
The Student Council have responded to pleas from St Theresa's church for donations to the food bank due to low stock. The council raised a significant amount of money, of which they used to personally select items that they could donate to the church.
Please enjoy the images which show the incredible trip that the council took to London.
